VPS Solution // How to become SPLA provider?
Back to FAQThe SPLA program offers hosting companies a monthly usage-based cost. Therefore the company pays only for what was made available the previous month.
Please see this page for more information about SPLA: http://www.microsoft.com/serviceproviders/licensing/default.mspx
To sign SPLA you should contact your regional Microsoft office. In general the process of becoming an SPLA provider is quick and easy:
- You should be at least Microsoft Registered Partner. Microsoft Registered Partner is a entry level in Microsoft Certified Partner program and the only requirement here is to fill the profile about your company. If your company is already Microsoft Certified Partner or Microsoft Certified Gold Partner you can skip this step. Microsoft Partner Enrollment page can be found here: https://partner.microsoft.com/US/40032508
- Contact your regional Microsoft office and request SPLA contract.
- Sign SPLA and purchase media kit (not so expensive, but mandatory).
- Receive media kit.
- Start using Microsoft product licenses.
- In the end of each month fill software usage report and submit payments to Microsoft.
That's it!
