Setup Workflow

When we start working on the next DotNetPanel Enterprise Solution project we offer the customer to follow a strict workflow in order to gain maximum productivity and reduce planning/deployment time and costs.

Below are workflow steps starting from your first enquiry and ending with final procedures.

1. Receiving Customer Inquiry

The first step is getting an inquiry from the customer. It can be a e-mail message, phone call or whatever. Anyway, you should let us know that you are interested in our solution and ready to go further with the planning process.

2. Modeling Deployment Environment

Before going forward we should understand and define the structure of environment configuration for your solution.

Often, the main input criterions for choosing the right configuration are:

  • You want to deploy either Exchange 2007, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM or all products together.
  • You have a definite number of servers and you need a solution that fit into your configuration.
  • You have minimum requirements to the number of Exchange mailboxes and SharePoint portals that should be hosted.
  • You want a basic (but scalable for future growth if it goes OK) environment to try the solution.
  • Security requirements. Do you need basic, moderate or highest level of security?
  • Fail-over requirements. For example, do you need any kind of load-balancing or fail-over solution for Exchange roles?

Understanding your needs and modeling environment topology maybe lengthy process and can take from 1-2 days up to 2-3 weeks to complete. More quickly you communicate with us less time it requires to complete the diagram.

The result of this step is a Visio diagram describing all the details of your configuration and optional related documentation.

You can see sample configuration diagrams that you can use as a reference for your own.

3. Creating Detailed Quote

After completing environment diagram and related configuration we create a detailed quote for you. It doesn't take much time when everything is absolutely clear.

The quote will have 4 purchase options to choose from, including monthly and leased options with or without support services.

4. Signing Customer Agreement

If the quote is OK for you and you are ready to proceed with one of the proposed purchase options we create a customer agreement for you to sign.

5. Issuing Evaluation Licenses

After the agreement is signed we create a dedicated SharePoint portal for every customer where we can store all project documentation and discussions and grant you with FREE evaluation licenses for a setup period of 30 days.

6. Payments

30 days after the agreement is signed you will receive the first invoice for your order.
