Business situation
Small and medium businesses that are the target market for YourOfficeAnyWhere have been constantly migrating towards Hosted SaaS solutions replacing on premises solutions. Having realized that, YourOfficeAnyWhere had been offering Hosted Exchange 2003 for 2 years using HMC 3.5.
With the release of Microsoft Exchange 2007 and HMC 4.0 it became more complicated to deploy Hosted Exchange based on HMC and they started to look for a product that will provide robust, efficient and scalable delivery platform for their hosted services.
Solution
The company was choosing their product between a number of different systems that provide a provisioning mechanism for Exchange 2007 and WSS 3.0. However most of them had a requirement that they use HMC 4.0 and after having experience with HMC 3.5 they were looking for alternative solution. Then they had reviewed the demo of DNP on demo.dotnetpanel.com and found out that DotNetPanel Hosted Exchange module was not based on HMC.
Another thing that helped Cardium Solutions make their decision is that DNP was an evolving product and as such they felt that over time it had the potential to develop into a product that not only provisions Exchange Mailboxes and WSS sites but would help them provision all the other services that they use as well.
