What is the difference between Standard and Enterprise edition?
The only difference is that with DNP Standard Edition you cannot host Enterprise Modules (Exchange 2007, SharePoint 3.0, CRM 4.0). However, these modules are not included in DNP Enterprise Edition and have to be purchased separately.

Open question Close question
I'm an existing customer. How would new licensing scheme affect me?
All existing licenses will be honoured.
For instance, if you have "DNP Enterprise Server 50 Web Sites" license all its limitations will be the same: you cannot create more than 50 web sites.
The same with Remote Server: if you have DNP Server 1 Service you still cannot create more than one service on it.
All Gold licenses are set equal to DNP Enterprise Edition. All Enterprise Modules (Exchange 2007, SharePoint 3.0, CRM 4.0) are always a subject for separate purchase.
If you need to upgrade your license it will cost you a price difference. For example, if you had DNP 50 Web Sites ($50) and Modules Pack ($150) you will need to pay $190 to upgrade to DNP Standard Edition. Please contact sales sale@dotnetpanel.com to arrange the upgrade.

Do you offer any discounts for those ones who decided to migrate from other control panel?
Yes, we offer 20% discount to the companies migrating from competitive products. This offer is very attractive, because discount is applied to the whole first order you place with us! In order to qualify for this discount you should provide us with some evidence of other control panel purchase, e.g. invoice, receipt, purchase confirmation, link to the working system, etc.
* 20% discount is applied to life-time DNP Standard and DNP Remote Server licenses only.

Do you have any automatic tools for migration from other control panels?
We don't provide any complete tool for migration from competitive product, but you can use "Import Resources" wizard integrated into DotNetPanel to import existing hosting resources under user account. Basically, you need to create a new user account and a hosting space for them and then use "Import Resources" wizard.*
Please see this article for more information: Importing Hosting Resources into Spaces
* Please note, that during web site import DNP moves web site files to new folders in order to fit DNP folders structure. This might cause some downtime, so any migration activities must be carefully planned and checked.
-
Could we pay for support to migrate from another control panel?
Migration of existing customers is a very risky and responsive operation that should be well-planned and done without any rush. As a rule after preliminary estimation of these services their cost appears to be unexcessible for the customer, so they refuse it. The safest "migration" way is to leave existing customers on the current control panel solution (if it's possible) and create new customers in DotNetPanel. Then you can move existing customers one-by-one without any rush using "Import Resources" wizard integrated into DotNetPanel.

After purchase the license by monthly installment, can it be upgraded to lifetime license?

-
What languages does DNP support?
Currently DNP supports English, Deutsch, Dutch, Russian, Romanian, Spanish, Hungarian, Finnish, Portuguese, Italian and French. If you didn't find your language in the list you may double-check it in the DotNetPanel Downloads section as DotNetPanel Language Packs are being added continuously.

My license is blocked. What now?
The license gets blocked if it used on 2 or more servers simultaneously. To have your license unblocked please contact support@dotnetpanel.com and try to avoid using your licence on several servers simultaneously in the future.
