DotNetPanel is simple to set up and easy to use. The installation process is fast and only takes a few minutes. You don't need to spend days to make your control panel work for you! Hardware Requirements

DotNetPanel does not require any special hardware. However, we highly recommend that you install DotNetPanel on a dedicated server in order to build your hosting or ISV business. DotNetPanel performs well on an Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64 Processor with 1GB RAM and 40GB HDD configuration. The more powerful server configuration you run for your business, the more user accounts, web sites, databases, etc. you can create, ultimately generating more revenue.

Software Requirements

Microsoft Windows Server

DotNetPanel can be installed on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or 2008. You can install DotNetPanel on any Windows Server edition, but we recommend purchasing at least a Standard edition as the Web edition has some limitations. Both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows editions can be used for DotNetPanel installation. DotNetPanel has been built using ASP.NET 2.0 which is available for both platforms.

Internet Information Services (IIS)

DotNetPanel is built as a set of web applications (Portal, Enterprise Server and Server). IIS 6.0 or IIS 7.0 is required to host DotNetPanel web applications. IIS is bundled with Microsoft Windows Server distributive and does not require a separate download.

Note: Internet Information Services should be installed prior to DotNetPanel installation.

Microsoft SQL Server

DotNetPanel Enterprise Server requires SQL Server 2005 or 2008 engine for internal database. You can download and install SQL Server Express edition which is free and has enough power to host DotNetPanel databases. DotNetPanel can manage SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008 engines when providing database hosting customers.
